Just updated to 4.1.0. Prior to this release we had a xcust_lang.php to overwritte entries in the lang.php. After the update it doesn’t matter what the file is called, no entries are overwritten.
Just found the fix after having a look in the oxlang.php. The cust_lang.php is giving preference but only if a charset is defined like having
‘charset’ => ‘ISO-8859-15’,… as the first entry. Of course no mention of that in the release note not does the example file has those entries. Should be amended in the next release.
