Now, with the carrier extension is it possible to create any carriers to send your articles with.
INSTALLATIONTo itegrade this function to your shop, please follow the instructions in the readme file. MOTIVATIONWith the carrier management, you create any carriers in the admin area. Then you can choose them in the order management,so that the costumer can track his order in the order history.
HANDLING
Create a carrierTo create a carrier, go in the admin area to the Master Settings -> Carriers.Now, fill the fields with necessary data. (imprtant fields: active, title and url) click on [SAVE]To create a further carrier, click on “Create New Carrier” and follow the steps on the top.Define a carrierTo define a carrier, go to Administer Orders -> Orders.Now, you handle the orders as usual and send the order to your costumer. You get a trackcode from your carrier. This trackcodehave to put in in the order management. After you save the trackcode it appears a drop down menu. With this menu you choose your carrier.You save the carrier during clicking on the save button.Now, the costumer can track his order in his order history during clicking on “Track Shipment”. The track linkThe most carriers provide a shipment tracking. The link for this function consists of the special Url of the carrier and the track code.At the crating a carrier you fill in just the first part of the url.
