this is a thread to just keep you informed about what is going on at Hackaton March 9th and 10th in Halle for the new admin panel. Comments are shut off to give you a list of things that happen over here without disruption (we have other tools for that ;)).

Not much of code has been produced today, to be honest. Instead, a lot of good ideas and a really good concept has been worked out:

[li]There’ll be a REST API so no core classes have to be touched with the new admin. With this REST interface, it will be possible to use other GUIs as well - no matter if web- or client based or even a mobile app. The backend team with @tabsl, @Kristian, @jkrug and @GN2netwerk and @Tomas (OXID core dev) will work on it.
[/li][li]Another team @rafael_dabrowski and @Dennis Heidtmann will care about the GUI.
