we’re looking for a way to import images directly via the SOAP interface, or at least a way to have images imported via directions given using SOAP. Unfortunately up to now it seems that there is no possiblility (After going through the documentation, we’ve not found anything yet).
Does anyone have an idea if, and if yes, how, this could be possible? An answer saying it is impossible would be great too, because we’d know to stop looking and start investigating alternatives.

We were hoping to be able to do this directly via SOAP without the FTP step. However, we had seen the method of using an FTP. If this is the “usual” (and only) way, then we’ll look into supporting that. Is there a detailed documentation of this method we could get our hands on?
Also must the location of the image be an FTP Server that is accessible for OXID, or could we give Oxid a location that is within our system? We have a file server system that responds to HTTP requests and sends files to clients directly for example.
