Oxid php.ini issue

I am having an issue with OXID COMMUNITY EDITION 4.4.8_34028

We need to install the following modules to add google analytics.

http://www.oxidmodule.com/Modul-Connector/Modul-Connector-fuer-Oxid-CE4-PE4-EE4.html
and
http://www.oxidmodule.com/kostenfreie-Module/Google-Analytics-fuer-Oxid-CE4-PE4-EE4.html

witch require the Zend Optimizer.

Hosting is done by strato.de

Adding the php.ini to the admin folder and root folder result in a blank page both in admin and root folder.

I added the php.ini files like described in

and with contents as indicated by

http://www.strato-faq.de/artikel.html?id=1663

Can you advise if this and known issue and how to fix it?

After clearing the tmp folder the file oxpec_class_file_paths.php gets created but remains blank.

Thanks in advance.

anything stated in exception-log?

Nope nothing is stated there.

I can certify that the extension gets loaded as creating a test.php with phpinfo() tells me it has been loaded.

you could give a try with several debug-levels which can be changed in config.inc.php

which php version is running on your server?

I am running
PHP Version 5.2.17

This happens even if i add a blank php.in file

well - I guess this is mainly a server-side issue

Could you please check at their support how to implement Zend for php5.2 within your webspace, if it is available and if it is possible to use own php.ini within your package?

Just one thing - you need to upload the files for the modules in binary mode! This is absolutely necessary, as they are encrypted.

Yes the hosting package allows its own php ini as phpinfo() in test.php file yelds

This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright © 1998-2010 Zend Technologies
with Zend Optimizer v3.3.3, Copyright © 1998-2007, by Zend Technologies

it is not serverside because then either i would have an error in server log files and my test.php would not work in that directory.

The files where uploaded in binary mode
