I’m trying to get the Guestbook to work. However, both links, header and the footer, just return a “page not found”. There is also no reference in the CMS Pages section - any hints where to look?
On that topic - how to I get the Contact page to display - the is no entry for it in the CMS pages either - do I have to create this one myself?

Hi Rico,
the guest book usually works out of the box on my vanillia installation. If you get an error 404 following the header or the footer link it might be caused by an unsuccessful ftp upload.
Seems to be the same with you contact page…

You are right. Just installed a second copy and it works with only one language active. For the example above we have to language active with English being the default one. The guestbook and contacts don’t work for the English version. If I switch to German I get an URL like http://www.domain.com/de/kontakt/ - which doesn’t work (some for gaestbuch). However, if I remove the /de/ and just call http://www.domain.com/kontakt/ and gaestbuch for this matter it works! This would indicate a problem with how the rewrite URL’s are generated.
The problem is that the SEO URL’s are not being generated anymore. Instead of http://www.domain.com/en/terms/ the URL is now http://www.domain.com/index.php?cl=info&tpl=agb.tpl and of course here we ge a page not found.

FOUND IT
Master Settings -> Core Settings -> Primary language for SEO urls — by default even if English as the default was choosen it set to German — set this to English and it will srew up all the SEO URLs to some like http://www.domain.com/index.php?cl=info&tpl=agb.tpl.
Switching that back to German make the http://www.domain.com/index.php?cl=info&tpl=agb.tpl work strangly enough though, but the SEO URL’s are gone.
Just notice that all the product and category URL’s don’t work anymore when switching back as the SEO URL’s are no longer be prefixed with /en/ or /de/.

tried to reproduce that and couldn’t with latest release 4.0.0.1_14455
