Hi all,
can someone guide me whether it would be better (or at least less troublesome) to install Oxid CE on a 32bit or a 64bit system?
I would opt for OpenSuSE, are there any valid reasons for other systems like Debian or CentOS?

Hi,
I think there is no difference, because PHP is a scripting language. If all needed PHP components avaliable, you can choose waht ever you want.
Try ubuntu too, which is my favorite.

Carsten,
We just ordered a 64-bit cloud server and have Debian running on it. We plan to install OXID soon on it and hopefully have some results to report.
I’m hoping we’ll get a performance improvement.
Meanwhile, have you done any tests on 64-bit machines? If so please mention OS also.
Thanks & regards
Ashant
