I’m about to update from 4.4.0 to 4.4.3 and am finding the instructions a bit vague. I’ve downloaded files etc. and am about to copy files to local test server.
Can anyone expand on the instruction below…
“2) Copy files
Copy all files from copy_this to the main directory of your eShop. The main directory is the directory containing the config.inc.php file.”
Do I overwrite directories or do I need to paste files into individual directories? This whole method seems very prone to error.
Normally you just have to copy the files and folders right in to the root folder. Files that are already there will be overwritten and new files will be placed at the right place.
(But i also had a problem doing this a few months ago. i didnt know why but my pc started to replace folder instead of joining them. I can´t remember for sure but i think i was working on my windows-pc while this happend?!? I usually work on my mac and i never had a problem.)
