How to Display 'Active to' Date

I’m interested in displaying the ‘Active to’ date for the product on the top and product detail details page…

The purpose is to offer ‘short term deals’ on specific products and show the ‘end date’ for the product. For example: “SALE ENDS: Dec. 31, 2010”

Obviously once the ‘active date’ is reached the product will be hidden.

Could someone explain how to display the date?

there is another function probably useful for you: With version 4.4.0 we built in a so called live shopping functionality (admin -> customer info -> promotions)
