we are facing this task:
A Product in 3 sizes and two colors. One father article with six variants:
size 1 | blue
size 2 | blue
size 3 | blue
size 1 | red
size 2 | red
size 3 | red
Every variant has been assignt to a category: eighter “blue” or category “red”. On top Level be hace the regular category navigation, showing (besides others) “red” and “blue”.
None of the variants is listed in any of the categories as long as the father itself is not listed. Since the father (IF it has categories) should be assigned to “blue” AND “red” it will show up in BOTH categories - of course with fasther image, which is ok for the one category but wrong for the other.
We really need (commercial) help on this:
-Why are categories for variants not working?
-It does not work with attributes as well - they simply will not show up when assigned to variants.
