Oxid id free choosable?

hello,
can i set the oxid id on my own when using a custom import script?
let’s say i got a unique id from a xml and i just want to use this id with a prefix.
like ‘imported’. so xml id maybe 123 would result in imported123 as oxid id.
is this ok or am i going to have trouble somewhere else in the shop?

nope - no problem to set your own unique id in import file

You could do that without getting trouble, if you keep in mind, that die OxId best has to be unique over the whole database.
