Americanization of Currency sign ($)

Am using Oxid CE v.4.7.6.

I have seen many posts with “Old” dates regarding changing the “$” sign from post price integers to pre price integers non of which seem to apply to v.4.7.6.

My next Americanization step is to try to change the “$” sign from after the price on the right to before the listed price on the left. From reading thru the forum, it does not appear anyone knows how to do this in v.4.7.6.

The purpose for this post is: Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to begin, e.g., 1) Is there a module that will change this position universally?
2) Must I go thru all the templates to make these changes?

I looked thru the admin panel and saw the section on adding new currency but did not clearly see how to make this desired change.

Any help of course is greatly appreciated :wink:

Looks like a promising solution would be a Smarty plugin. Maybe you can find some useful information about that on the Smarty site.

Yikes! I have begun the template file changes. So far, have made changes in 23 template files. I do not know how the price ranges will display. If I didn’t have to get this store up and running, I would take a closer look at the smarty plugin. Perhaps at a later time. I will keep you posted.

I would not have thought of it as a bug because it is not an included feature but rather just a need for the new feature. I read the bug report. Sure would be nice if it were a feature like other ecommerce programs. Are you hearing me Oxid?
