I can search of the parent product, but not for all variants.
I have used oxid Community Edition 4.1.6_22740
And 1 question for sorting categories, I have put the same sorting number into the demo website, it can sorting by the name default, but on my site can not sort any more.

Right, the search for a variant doesn’t work. But there is a quick and dirty hack you might want to try. Just edit the entry in line /core/oxsearch.php. But be careful! This is not useful for the standard software because it might cause performance problems.

Sorry, I couldn’t get the point here. Checked it out in demoshop and sorting worked pretty ok. What exactly is the question?

Thanks for the first answer.
For second answer please see http://www.hummel.co.th/Bakery-Pastry/
I have to put equal sorting number, 1000, but no sorting for category name.
How to setting it?
And one thing of css problems if category name is too long, it shows little bit arrow at the bottom, see category Swiss Army Knives and Pocket-Multi-Tools in the left menu.
Hello Marco,
is searching variants not available with oxid CE or is that a general oxid issue?
Customer reports that it was working with PE 3.0.4.0 and expects the same functionality after a upgrade (also to CE of course).
For the second issue with sorting of categories:
We set up fixed sorting order nr (e.g.1000) but the sorting of categories by name doesnt work automatically. Do we have to configure that somewhere?
The third issue is:
in the Swiss Army Knifes Category there is a graphic glitch with the bullet point (arrow). As the category name spans over 2 lines the graphic beneath has been revealed.
kind regards
Tibor
Hi kriengsak an Tibor,
it’s a general behaviour, no difference in editions. We are currently thinking about how to resolve it best.
second issue:
The subcategories will not automatically be sorted by name, the sorting is made by sorting field. If you have to have just one unique entry there, sorting is made by date of entry probably.
third issue:
May be easily resolved adapting your css. Do you have Firebug (Firefox extension) installed? You may find the culprit very easy there. Just play around with it, maybe starting with “background-position”.
