Default currency in admin view

Ive figured out by comparing that it is euro that is the default currency, i.e. the currency you use when setting product prices.

Is it always euro that is used in the admin view for setting product prices? And why aint there any currency signs? It makes me worried as I get the feeling that it might not be the same for all shops.

Please note that Im not asking about the customer shop view. That currency can be set by reading this: option1 or option2.

Hi betatest,

the currency on top is the basic currency for the shop front end, right?

EUR@ 1.00@ ,@ .@ €@ 2
GBP@ 0.84@ .@ @ £@ 2
CHF@ 1.41@ ,@ .@ CHF@ 2

Try to change it like this:

GBP@ 1.00@ .@ @ £@ 2
EUR@ 1.20@ ,@ .@ €@ 2
CHF@ 1.69@ ,@ .@ CHF@ 2

Regards

Thanx but I kinda knew that. I didnt realise untill now though that the value that is put in into the products are currency neutral and it is the rates that decides what the end value on the shop page will be. The rate multiplied on the neutral value decided in the admin view.

Anyways, I get it now, thanx
