Error on distributors page

hallo,

i get an error in my CE shop version 4.5.2_38481 when i want to view the page where a distributor’s products are listed:

mydomain.de/Nach-Lieferant
(in english: /By-Distributor)

Fatal error: Call to a member function getPath() on a non-object in /mydocumentroot/views/vendorlist.php on line 435

can anybody help me ?

i have found this bug in the bug tracker:

now i have updated the shop from 4.5.2_38481 to 4.5.5_40299 but the error is still there. can anybody tell me if this is fixed in the future ?

Hello Fred,

this is not a bug. The error message tells that some function call couldn’t be found. Apparently, you have changed something in your template…

says exactly what my problem is and it is signed as a bug. and it is not fixed yet.

yes, i have changed my template a little bit. are you sure this could be the reason for my problem ?

I think this is more a feature problem - in previous versions you could load and show the distributors list as well as the manufacturers (brands) list in frontend. This config is found in the performance tab in core settings.

In the newer versions there is only the option for manufacturers / brands.
Maybe the intension was to move this option to the theme config for Basic-Theme, as it is not implemented into Azure. But it is missing there as well.

i have change my template to ‘basic’ where i did not have changed anything. i have cleared my cache. the distributor-page of this template is empty. i don’t see the fatal error of the ‘azure’ template but i even don’t see my distributors.

and the breadcrumb says:
you are here: /

this must be a bug …

does that mean there is no way to list the distributors on a standard ce installation ?

does anybody know if there is a module for listing the distrubutors. i could not find one …
