Function of OXCATID in oxcontents table

Hello

I’d like to know the function of OXCATID parameter in oxcontents table and how OXCATID is defined. I can’t find the connection between tables oxcontents and oxcategories.

take a look at oxCategoryList::_ppAddContentCategories .
in Admin GUI select:
Customer Info > CMS Pages > select or create page > Main
Select “Category” type (oxcontents__oxtype=2), and after save, category selection appears. titled by “Inserted before”, near save button
