How to select default variant?

Hello,

I’m using OXID eShop CE 4.7.1 with default Azure template.

I defined variants for some products. When these (parent) products are diplayed in the frontend, there is this select box with options:

  1. choose variant (default)
  2. white
  3. black
  4. red

Is there any easy way to remove the first option (choose variant), so one of the variants would be pre-selected automatically?

  1. white (default)
  2. black
  3. red

Thanks.

you can set parent articles to be buyable und make the parent article being your first variant

Thanks, I’ve just tried that but it didn’t help. There is still “choose variant” option pre-selected. I think it’s even more confusing for customers now

I’d like to get something like this:

there is a module that could fit your needs, but the page is in german :frowning:

Thanks, I will try this module.

It doesn’t make much sense to show non-buyable parent product to customers…

In a way it does, it prevents wrong orders because people just click on “buy” without having selected the correct variant. If you have e.g. colors and sizes, i think it would be good to preselect color and show the matching image, but keep sizes not preselected.

Yeah, you are right
