I’m slightly stumbled with how to use the OXID feature “Fields” when creating a Payment method. Is there some sort of point for them, where can i create them/configure them?
Also how to delete the default payment methods safely without damaging OXID core features or configuration(let’s say - not deleting too much). Don’t want to keep any bank info on this OXID instance set-up.
Hi Karlis,
what exactly do you want to achieve, what do you have in mind for use with this special fields?
Regards
Currently i’m trying to understand the use of them and also trying to find a good way of integrating PayPal payment method.
Hi,

For some payment methods, it is important to hand over some more details to their gateway. Actually, you could use it for credit card payment to store credit card numbers if you were allowed to do so (PCI certification).
For Paypal, there are already some other working solutions. Some of them you’ll find on OXID eXchange. Also, I know that @spurvis is working on a GPL solution for it in his North America module.
Anyway - another question. You probably translated the language files into Latvian, right? Would you mind sharing it with the community? Presently, we are about to integrate a translation platform with oTranCe.
Thanks and regards
I see, so i should steer away from doing anything with fields. Will look into PayPal extensions on Exchange as well. As for the translations - i do not have a full translation yet … the one currently in use isn’t entirely accurate in some shop areas. I also don’t have any access to add the translation on the translations page, could you perhaps point me the way to aquire it or a area where i could simply add the translated files?

Of course, no problem. You can send the files to me via PN if possible or by PN --> email. I can import the work you have done already and you can finish it for your and other’s comfort and export it from this tool.
See PN
