haha what ? im talking about oxid CE upgrade from version 4.6.5 to 4.7?
edit: and my respond to Hebsacker, is azure template in oxid… not windows
you have modified the original template set?
@Hebsacker dont know what ‘set’ means, but i have modified azure’s .tpl, css etc. files
@vanilla thunder, ahh you are making a point. thought you totally misunderstood my question hehe. But i have changed a lot of things! but will it be good enough, to just replace my “azure” folder with the 4.7? didnt they make some changes in there, so they will be lost, when i replace the folder? and what if i made changes in tpl files outside the azure folder?
Hi @gnomic,
the template system, at least front end, uses a template override mechanism. That means, that every template file you have to change, shall go to a user specified template. With this, you don’t have to touch the original template and updates shall be safe. Are you familiar with this procedure or need more stuff to read? There’s a tutorial in oxidforge wiki to explain that.
Cheers
you should copy and rename your template folder and make it a child template of original Azure
there is a script to copy only modified templates from your current installation to a custom theme folder - after that transfer the original Azure to your shop
First of all: MAKE A BACKUP! (of ftp-files AND database)
And here i was hitting refresh all the time, to see if someone would post anything - i didnt see that there was a new page…
Thanks a lot guys, ill give it a try.
Shouldnt it work, if i just follow this guide?
When i have completed step 6. then it hasnt copied any of my template files etc.

I would suggest to change your existing “old” shop first, make a child-theme as described in my link to theme management and upload the original Azure template. If this works, then start updating.
Thanks a lot, it helped. theme almost back to normal
