Use-Cases for Fanpage / Private-Shopping

Hello All,

I can think of the following cases where the new Private-Shopping feature in OXID can be applied to:

  1. Classical brick-and-mortor companies, which want to pre-qualify their buyers. I can think of a lot of KMU-Mittelstand manufacturers. Would appreciate others’ comments of this.

  2. Experienced online-retails or B2C-brands that want to offer exclusive shopping areas, possibly with special deals. In this case, I don’t see the point of using private-sales, since the exclusive deals can be offered on a regular shop using user-grouping feature as well.

All in all, it seems to me that using private-shopping, shop-owners miss out on SEO advantages, and the “bureaucracy” of registration and approvals seems to hamper new sign-ups.

Would appreciate other’s views on this topic!
