Anyway to change Vat to Tax? I will only use this in the US, thanks.

have a look at /out/basic/en/lang.php. All the “VAT” entries appearing there can be changed to “Tax”. The changed entries shall go to custom_lang.php in the same directory according to the override mechanism.
