FollowSymLinks vs SymLinksIfOwnerMatch

Hi,

When i want to install oxid, it comes with this message:

.htaccess: Option FollowSymLinks not allowed here

and it works if i replace FollowSymLinks with SymLinksIfOwnerMatch in the .htaccess file. But is it secure to do? do SymLinksIfOwnerMatch has any kind of security holes, that would make it a bad thing to do?

don’t think it’s security relevant. Looks like just a decision your hosting provider made.
