Is there a bug in the registration in CE, or Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, I think there is a bug in the registration part of the Oxid Community Edition. It is the dropdown list with the countries that you can select that you are from.
When you view the dropdown list with the countries in the registration part, in english I can see all countries, but when I view it in german I can only see a zero per country instead. So what I see is a dropdownlist with zero’s.

I select the language by using the country flags benite the logo.

Is this a bug? Or am I doing something wrong?

This is how it looks:

Can generate this problem in the offical demo-Shop?

Have you changed the settings for the different countrys?

Hi, I cant generate the problem in the offical demo-shop :frowning: Verry strange.

I might have changed the settings, code vise. But not in any way I can remember by any actual settings in the admin config.

Im wondering though, if this problem occures cause of my code, and Ive only changed in code that I extend etc through adding to the module extensions list. Shouldnt the problem stop if I remove all the extensions in the extensions list? Cause it is still there. Ive also cleared the tmp folder after removing the extensions.

So I redownloaded and installed the Community Edition and the problem is still there. Even though I havent even entered the admin interface or as much as looked at the DB this time.

My colleague just installed oxid in his computer and he doesnt have the same problem. How is this possible?

And yes, we did use the same download link which makes me find this verry strange. Hmm…

FYI, Im gonna dig into this and have a look at the code later if I remember and have time over.
Cause the problem is still there.

Hi,
try to delete/drop all tables from this install, and reinstall the shop.
It looks to me that you DB has problems (maybe you tried to migrate from old version ? )

Hi,

for me, it looks like a matter of server configuration. Maybe your DB server is different to the suggested versions in system requirements:

Sorry for being so slow on replying.

Hi, thanx for your idea. But doing that doesnt help, when I reinstalled I also created a new DB. And the problem is still there.

Hello,

That sounds interessting. I make use of xampp; http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html
PHP version: 5.3.1 my colleague for which it works uses: 5.2.6
MySQL version: 5.1.41 my colleague for which it works uses: 5.0.67
And it seems to when I compare the content with the requirement that it should work.

Maybe the mysql or php versions aint working with the current Oxid? Im gonna install this Xampp version at home later(and I will hopefully remember it), and then see if the problem is still there.

Thanx for your reply

Hello,

Thanx again for a good reply  At the moment I dont have time to do that(In my ears it sounds like alot of installing, configuring etc), but I will keep it in mind. At the moment the problem aint really a problem of sorts that I cannot continue my work, but it is nice if things works as they should, hence I created this thread

Hi,

Nope. Probably the download will take the most time

Just install the free VMware player and open the VMware appliance. The server is already configured

Okay, so I installed VMware Player, but where is the file: oxid_on_debian_etch.vmx? When I downloaded the VMware Player I only got a .exe file.

Hi,

Hello,

Sorry for being unclear before, you sent that link before and I tried to follow it, and now the questions is where I get the file “oxid_on_debian_etch.vmx” mentioned in step 2.
“Start the VMware Player and open the file oxid_on_debian_etch.vmx of the downloaded package.”

Where is that “downloaded package”? As said before, when I downloaded VMware player that was linked to in step1, there was only a .exe file for installing the VMware player, no oxid_on_debian_etch.vmx file.

Oh - :-))
At the very bottom of the page:

It’s a zip file that contains e.g. the vmx
