Hi everybody,
How to prevent optional fields from being displayed in the user registration form ?
Can this be done through the admin panel or by adjusting the template ?

Hi Vaidas,
you have to remove them from the template manually.
In the backend you only can set if a field is mandatory or not.

Hi Vaidas,
as always: It depends. You have to find the template file that includes the part you want to change.

As a good starting point you can have a look at tpl/page/account/register.tpl
In there are some references on other files that can be found in tpl/form/… and from there tpl/form/fieldset/…
First you have to identify which part you want to edit. Then edit the correct file.
