I am installing the community edition of oxid at the moment and now I would like to enable credit card and paypal as payment method.
I would like to register with oxid efire to use the paypal module, but I do get a error message saying that the shop cannot be found, but I definitely put the correct link in. Does anyone have experience with that problem? The people from oxid efire do not reply to my emails since a few days already which I find is quite a poorly service. Is there maybe another paypal module I can us which is for free or not more then 50 €. I am starting a shop, so I am really not sure if it will have success so I do not want to invest 200 € for a shop that maybe does not work.
Regarding a module for credit card payment is there any module you guys can recommend?
can you add me to that PayPal plea? I need to bring the shops online soon, and there still does not seem to be a viable PayPal payment option which I find incredibly confusing…at least in English.
I contacted some eOXID “partners”, but either none of them speak any English even though they have English langauge content on their websites, or are really awful since nobody replied. It may be useful to provide a review option for the partners too to give them some incentive to actually respond to enquiries.
EDIT: add “any payment method for business outside of Germany” to the above plea. I may be way off base here and I may have missed something, but eOXID is now an international product, growth and international acceptance seem to be in the eOXID pipeline. However, this cannot happen if eOXID does not allow anyone outside of Germany and a few other lucky countries to actually pay for anything.
I just went through the Payment providers on eExchange http://www.oxid-esales.com/en/exchange/eshop/tags/payment and there is still nothing there at all that can help with international business, in English. If you cannot get any of your partners to provide a payment method that works with your new international audience, then write one yourselves, otherwise eOXID is not a shop, it is a catalogue.
thank you for your posts. Unless I am again missing something, it seems that the module is in German and the installation instructions are all in German as well…
Is there an actual English language module and I downloaded the wrong one instead?
…and I just got an email from Ogone stating the following:
Dear customer,
Based on the registered information, we can not proceed to the activation of your test account.
This might be due to one of the following reasons:
-The company name is incorrect or missing.
-The name of the contact person (first name + last name) is incomplete or missing.
-The phone number is invalid (for ex : 123456) or missing.
-The email address is a generic email address (e.g. Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail) instead of a professional email address.
-The website address is not accessible.
This was followed by the details that I entered which are all correct except for the Gmail address which I use for public emailing to avoid cluttering my actual mailboxes (also hosted by Google) with spam and “helpful hints and tips” and other nonsense.
So no, there still isn’t anything that actually works.

And by the way,
I have just uploaded a new zip file containing the Oxid/Ogone interface.
Please use this.
There is no English installation guide (sorry!) but I will be happy to assist you.
