So, zend ist jetzt installiert und das Modul hab ich jetzt hochgeladen.
Aber als ich es aktivieren wollte, kommt folgender Fehler:

keine Ahnung, ich arbyte definitiv nicht mehr mit 1&1 Installationen.
Nur die Fehlermeldung lässt auf eine nicht zur installierten PHP-Version passende Paypal-Installation schliessen.

Bei 1und1 kann der User über das Control-Center zwischen 2 PHP-Versionen wählen - die aktuell eingestellte Version kann man auch im Shop Admin unter Service > Systeminfo genauer ablesen.

Wieso falsche Version?
Mal eins nach dem anderen, sonst wird das nichts:

Welche PHP-Version nutzt du?
Finde das heraus, indem du im Shopadmin unter Service/Systeminfo im zweiten Block ganz oben nachsiehst. Da steht dann PHP-Version 5.x.x.

Ausserdem scrollst du dann bitte ans Ende dieses zweiten Blocks, da wo “powered by Zend Engine” steht, und kopierst alles was Links daneben unter “This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:” steht mal hier ins Forum.
Jetzt zum 3. Mal:
Ich hab überhaupt keinen Zugriff mehr auf den Shop.
Ich kann mich auch nicht als Admin einloggen, wegen der Fehlermeldung oben.
Kannst du denn zumindest mal die ganzen PayPal-Dateien, seit deren Hochladen dein Shop nicht mehr funktioniert, wieder löschen?
Ich hab nur mal das im Modul gelöscht und jetzt geht alles wieder.

Super, es geht aufwärts 
Nun müssen wir sicherstellen, die richtige PayPal-Version zu bekommen:
Klicke hierzu bitte ganz oben auf dieser Seite auf eXchange und gib in das untere Suchfeld paypal ein. Das Zweite, mit den 3 Bewertungssternen ist das Passende.
Öffne es, klicke auf Download und wähle die unterste der vier angebotenen Versionen, also die, wo ganz unten PHP 5.2 dabei steht.
Das installierst du lt. der beiliegenden Anleitung und kopierst dann die php.ini in den neuen Paypal-Ordner und in die Unterordner.
So, hochgeladen, eingefügt, installiert.
Es kommen keine Fehlermeldungen.
Aber ob’s funktioniert weiß ich nicht …
Tja, das weiß ich auch nicht. Aber wir sind zumindest schonmal ein ganzes Stück weiter würd ich sagen
