Possible with OXID community edition?

Hi

I’m new to Oxid.

I got a quick question.

I will start a shop for individualized children waer.

Example: A cute shirt which should have an option to choose between all available materials. Each material will have a picture (blue cotton with hearts, yellow cotton with stribes)

So what I need is a choice with pictures for each choice.

Can you tell me how to do this?

you can set variants for the articles you sell,
so lets sey you sell a shirt
for each kind of different feature like color or size or some design/pattern you can set a variant selection.
e.g. colors: green / blue / red /yellow
size: m / l / xl / xxl
design: hearts / skulls / wahtever.

or if you have a fixed combinations like blue shirts have alvays hearts on it and yellow shirts always have skulls, so you can set it, too.

the are also some mudules (extensions) for the shop, so you cad extend the functionality and add a t-shirt designer, so everybody couzld combine color and some images and patterns

ich schreib mal auf deutsch. Denke das macht es leichter.

Das mit den Varianten hab ich gesehen und ist für vieles auch hilfreich. Doch der Kunde soll aus alles stoffen (ca. 40 stck.) auswählen können. Damit es ihm leichter fällt, soll er wenn er die Auswhl öffnet kleine Bilder eines jeden Stoffes sehen und nicht nur die Namen der Stoffe.

Ich hoffe ich hab es einigermaßen gut erklärt :wink:

the no such build-in function, but there is no Problem to build a variant selection with pictures.

Would that be much work? I think many users could use this.

i have never done something like this before,
but depending on the choosen approach it would start with something about 5 hours.

but there are also some more possibilities to manage it, e.g. showing the preview for different types of clothes iside a tab or an external cms page

try searching the forums, I think we had something like this before and there where some snippets which can be useful

I found a way. I can use pictures for variants. this is working and can be used as I would like to.

I may have to add a picturebox below the article picture where these variant pics will be shown without changing the pic of the article itself.

Another issue I have is:
When I add an choicelist (hope this is correct - german: Auswahlliste) for size of shoes. The choice for example 38 is not shown in the cart. Is this the way it should be?
