I recently started working with an OXID shop that was already up and running.
We need to translate it to other languages (it’s currently in german). We can translate products and categories with no problems at all, but the shop uses a lot of selection lists, and they won’t copy to the other languages properly, the attributes and all the fields just become empty for the other language.
To copy them, I select a list (with the original language selected) and use the copy to button (ex. deutsch to english)
I’m not sure if this is intented to act like that, if that’s a bug or if I am doing something wrong, so I would appreciate some insight on this.
We are using CE 4.5.0_34568

I’ve never heard about such issue. Probably the best would be to update to the latest version firstly which is 4.5.9.
Just for my understanding: Am I right that you are translating demo products? For which purpose would you do that?

I tried the same thing on the demo shop offered in oxid website, current version professional edition 4.5.9_43186.
In admin backend, administer products-> selection lists. I created a new list in deutsch, added title, working title and some fields ( name, discount)… And then used the button copy to-> english.
I got a selection list with the same title and working title, but no fields (name or discounts) were copied to the english one.
I’m not sure if I understand your question, but I’d say we’re not translating any demo.
