Update to 4.3 bricks eFire

Hello, e-commerce fans,

I am currently investigating how OXID 4.3 can improve our webshop. I have updated the shop (CE 4.2) via updateApp on a demo server and the results are varying quite much. Most problems could be worked out so far but I am stuck with the menu and efire, it seems completely broken and I have no idea, whats the deal. Does the following picture look familiar to you?

  • eFire menu is gone
  • strange error message on the bottom, no idea

familiar somehow, yes.
Looks like your server lost the connection to the internet via port 80…

thanks for the answer. The shop was technically all fine. After some research I came to the conclusion that any update will brick your exisiting settings.

The solution was to truncate oxconfig and to reconfigure the shop by hand. It seems that at least 4.2 to 4.3 relies on changes to oxconfig that were not applied by UpdateApp.
