6vC PayPal Basic Module Support

And thx for the module

Ok my problem is solved.

Since I could not longer keep my customer waiting I tried to install efire and paypal. So after it worked with the same API data that did not work with the 6vC module I can say that the API data was not the reason for the issues I had.

I really hope that your module will be already fully integrated in future versions of Oxid. That would make life much easier for all Oxid Users.

I will try to install it at future customer shops, too. Its better to have the direct contact to paypal and of course its much better to have a free module thats easy to install.

Kind regards from Germany, Cologne
Atilla

Has anybody already implemented the seller protection into the 6vC PayPal module and wants to share his code? Would be highly appreciated!

Yes I did. Seller protection is now available. Shipping address will be sent to PayPal now.

In addition the PayPal-landingpage (login or guest-payment) now is selectable in the module-settings and the module is ready for upcoming shop version 4.8 and ready for the free OXID mobile theme too.

Check it out!

Hi nickname,

awesome! Thanks a lot.

We´ve got a problem with German umlauts. If there are any in the address or in the article description they are broken. Seems to be an Unicode encoding problem. Do you have the same issue?

Hi Quantis,

yes i had if UTF8 is aktive. I fixed this bug - “german umlauts” now work in article-description and shipping adress, even if the shop runs in UTF8-mode.

As soon as Marco accepts the pull request it’s available on Github.

As soon as possible mate

Has anybody already implemented 6vc-paypal using oxid ce 4.7.7 and the basic template. What is to be changed in the payment.tpl?

BR

“Basic”-Theme is no longer supported since version 4.7.0

Hello,

Urgent.

If the module work on Monday?

PayPal sets the IPN.

Greetings Brian

Hi,

there are two pull requests remaining open.

Is there a chance, that these will be integrated soon? This would be really nice.

Morning,

the pull requests were merged in this repository:

I reckon 6vC who originally published this module is unable to work on it any longer.

Regards

Awesome! Thank you very much.

As i noticed http://www.6vcommerce.ca is not active anymore. Does anyone know, what happened?

Yes, nothing special. Shaun got a good job where he has to do like hell and cannot take care about other stuff besides. Good luck to him!

Happy to hear that. Thanks for the awesome work of him (and now you) on the paypal module and good luck to him too.

I updated the module to work with the oxid eshop CE 4.9.0.

Removed or replaced deprecated code. Moved language files to fit actual layout.

Changes are in my local repository. How can I commit them? (first time on github, sorry. :frowning: )

Hi Phillinger,

best send a pull request to https://github.com/OXIDprojects/6vC-PayPal-Basic from your private repository. I will merge it and send a PR to @spurvis.

Cheers!

Been there, done that.

Cheers! Merged your commits, pull requested to the original repo.

Best!
